Welcome to YMCA Trinity Group’s Comunity Gym in Ipswich. At YMCA we believe everyone should enjoy the benefits of good health and wellbeing. So, we make sure our gym is accessible, enjoyable and affordable for all. With low-cost monthly membership and no contract, it’s the best value work out around!
Our gym is located at 2 Wellington Street in the centre of Ipswich and is open Monday – Sunday: 7am – 9pm.
The money we raise through gym memberships will always go help to support young people within the local community who are struggling and need help through tough times.

Our personal training sessions are with fully qualified staff who can tailor exercise programmes to suit an individual’s needs, abilities or ambitions. If you would like to have support from one of our PTs, then please book an appointment at reception beforehand – availability is limited. When you become a member you’ll receive 4x 30 min sessions or 2x 1 hour sessions, these must be booked in advance. Please note: this offer is only for Direct Debit Memberships.
Membership is only £13.99 per month for concessions (those on low incomes, students and those aged 60+). Standard membership is £18.99 a month.
The opening hours are:
- Mon – Sun: 7am – 9pm
If less than 6 months has passed since you cancelled your direct debit we will be able to restart your membership easily. Drop us an email at ymcafitnessIps@ymcatrinity.org.uk or call us during opening times on 01473 252456 and we will be able to arrange this. You will be asked to make one initial payment over the telephone to restart your membership then your direct debit will resume. You will be unable to book a gym session or class until your membership has been restarted.

Yes, you can now turn up without booking a gym session.
Our team continue to work hard to main a high standard of cleanliness within the gym and undertake enhanced cleaning throughout each day.
Yes, you can book a session with a Personal Trainer but please book an appointment beforehand. When you become a member, you receive two free PT sessions. Please note: this offer is only for Direct Debit Memberships.
Yes, as you enter and leave the building and walk through reception but once actually in the gym you may remove your mask.
Yes, you may use our changing rooms and lockers to store possessions and to change before and after your gym session.
If you wish to bring a small towel please ensure this is for personal use only and do not use it to wipe down equipment.
